I have a 2 gal tank. I just did a 50% water change. Added a phos-x pouch to carbon filter and removed the slime covered decor and plants (silk).

I was told that by lfs that I should add a bubble stone so that I don't get brown algea again and I did. I am wondering if this is ok for beta or not.

He doesn't seem to like the bubbles and I was worried.

I turned off the bubbles.

i've never heard of using a bubbler to stop brown algea, it doesnt sound like it'd work... i've never had brown algae in any of my tanks, and none of my bettas have bubblers.

bubblers are in no way bad for bettas, but they're not necesary, and some bettas really dislike them. if yours doesnt like it, i say dont bother.
