Bubblenests?

OK, so my betta is still quite young, I wanted to show pictures but for some reason they aren't working.
Here's the thing, my betta doesn't make very many bubbles but he seems content and active, so I assume he's happy.
My brothers betta is older than mine, he makes bubbles like crazy but he is way less active than mine? Is there anything I can do? Do they have to be a certain age before he can make them? Seems weird.

Ever heard the term.."you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink"?

This rings true in this situation. You can't "make" him blow a bubble nest if he is no so inclined.

If he's happy and healthy otherwise I wouldn't worry!
He just doesn't feel the need to blow!!! Maybe he's a sucker and a swallower instead!!!!!!!!

Aww.

I think my new betta spyro (pictured) has been reading. He has just built his first bubble nest! It's tiny at the mo but he's working at it. I literally cried!

Red - do you have anythin in the tank with him? I put a plant in with spyro today, one with leaves that touch the top, and he has buit one touching the leaves.

well he's figuring it out now. I did a water change today and he has a small nest started, my brothers' makes hhhhhuge ones, but at least I know he's happ now.
No I don't have much in there other than plants.e

some bettas dont even make them so just be happy that he's trying
