So my sister has a betta in a bowl (I'm aware this is not ideal, but he's her fish, not mine), and today I noticed all over the roots of his plant on one side were small bubbles. I've never seen this before and nothing has changed so I don't think it's from an outside source. However, from what I've read, bettas usually build bubble nests (since this is what I'm assuming he was working on) at the surface of the water. Is it possible the bubbles just got stuck to the roots on the way up? He's a huge beautiful fish and I did see him blow a few bubbles out that stuck to the upper part of the plant's roots. So do y'all think this is his form of a nest? Or is he just doing a little interior decorating? :fun:

It's not new at all, and there wasn't a water change, so I know thats not it. She's had this fish for about 2 years.

Sounds like a bubblenest to me but it is weird that it's at the plants roots..hmmm he must be swimming to a different drummer lol
