 My new male betta has been hanging around at the top of his tank. He lives on his own, and a few minutes ago I noticed a clump of bubbles floating near him. They are only small, and he lives on his own, but would this be a bubble nest? He was flaring at one of my females when they were in seperate bags next to eachother two days ago. He has been a bit quiet since I added him. His tank has a light and heater.
Any advice? -_-

Probably. They don't really need any incentive. Some build nests even if they have never seen females. :dunno:

 :D :) I hope so! But anyway, the female that he was flaring at got put in a seperate tank but this morning, about 2 hours ago, I put her with him. I let her float in a bag for about half an hour and they were both flaring like mad. But this bit is complicated. I also had another female floating in the bag, but she didn't seem interested in him. So I let out the female that was flaring, and the other one I put back in her tank. So this female is swimming around the male and flaring and displaying all her colours, and at first the male did the same, but now has seemed to have lost interest. The female is still swimming around him and showing off but he just swims away. Could he have been interested in the other female that I took away? And should I add her too just to be sure? If I added her, should I take the other female out? :dunno:

EDIT: Sorry, what's flatulence? :*)

First of all what are you hoping to accomplish with them together? It's not a good idea to put them together for anything other then breeding and even then you can't just put them together. I would get her out of there if you haven't already before they get too stressed and someone gets hurt -_-
