Actually on the tank now he doesn't add ferts at all, stuff just grows of it's own accord.

i swear down i don't know why stuff grows for him and not for me

i've had tanks in the exact same place as his planted tank is now (so same amount of sunlight, same tap water conditions etc) and done the exact same things that he did and stuff would die on me, everything just grows for him.

It even comes down as far as handling the plants, our tanks 2 foot deep so he's got long tweezers which he uses for planting, i try to get plants with them and i snap the stems or put them in the sand and they just float up again, he does it and they just stay put, i've asked if there's a knack to it he say's he just sticks them in and lets go. It's infuriating I tell you!
