Brought My First Female Betta Today:)

I am glad that you have a divider but I do not recommend removing it at any time.  They do not need to be able to be near each other.  It truly does cause them stress though you may not be able to see it if you are not used to their body language.  I know you really love your bettas so I am giving you the knowledge to keep them the healthiest you can so that you can enjoy lots of time with them.  :)  Would love to see pics of them when you get a chance.

Well since yesterday (just my luck so not surprised lol) but my female Betta had been getting through the mesh some how... So that quick fix needs re doing. I'm starting to become very stressed about these fish! Went to check them yesterday and she was on his side. I put her back, watched for a bit, then left them alone. Came back hour later, she was back on his side... I don't know if kids would be this stressful lol!

Oh I can honestly tell you that kids are much more stressful.  :)  If you want I can instruct you on setting up a good divider that will stay in place and not let either of the fish on the other side.  It will require you keeping them in separate smaller containers for a period of about 2 days while the silicon sets but as far as dividing the tank it is the least stress worthy divider.  :)

you should take one of them out and keep them in there own separate tanks where they cant see each other. they are stressed but soon they will chase each other and take bites out of each others  fins and scales. you Might be able to get away with keeping a tank of a few females together if its a big enough tank. even then you will get them fighting to see who the one in charge is.. but Its better to keep them in there own tanks.  you should get them a tank like this each they dont got that much and get them a small heater and a temp stick. but dont use the divider! they dont work they will get past it and start ripping each others fins. some plants like a sword plant will work they like to sleep on the leafs. this is what I keep my bettas in they all have there own like this. it comes with a lid with a light. a filter and  divider but I dont use them any more cuzz they just dont work. you have to buy the heater separate tho and the temp stick so you know the water is not to hot.
