Hi,

I got 4 baby rasporas yesterday from PetSmart and noticed today, 2 of the new ones have what looks to be a deformed jaw. I've seen this before with several other types of fish and usually the tragic result is the fish slowly withering away to a point of no return. Not sure what this is, but now I am afraid I just indroduced some disease to the tank.

Should I try API general antibiotic or take those 2 fish back to the store? I feel awful, especially if its curable because I know the store is just going to flush thrm.

Video the fish and upload it to YouTube, then copy & paste the link here.

It's a deformation. And probably born with it. So, nothing you can do about it. As long as it's eating and swimming well, I'd leave it...

Thanks! Yeah, I also had my wife look at the 2 in question and no indication of anything like ich growing on them

There are 2 deformed fish, one is really bad the other not as bad. They should have been culled by the breeder but somehow slipped through. As emeraldking said, just leave them be.
