can anyone please tell me why my fish swim to the surface and then dive back down , thay have done it since we had them ( 5 of them all 1 1/2 years old )

I'm just curious

Apparently (from what someone else said on here), they go and get a gulp of air which helps with their digestive system!

If they are doing lots of it, I do a water change.

They do gulp air. Then they fart! lol

not lots of it , just once in a while & they all tghen chase each other around...i do a 25 % water change every week , i'm sure they are just doing what they do
