i have a 190 litre tank that came with afew fish

iv had it 2-3 months now and all is going great apart from some of the bronze corys that came with it,
iv lost 2 and aweek or so ago i found one of my corys had a patch on his body, over the course of a week it has got bigger
and yesterday i brought 2 rams and 2 gourmis today looking at my fish i found the cory to have a white spot on his gill which i had not seen before.

tried to take pic of it but cant as hes not showing that side of his body but iv got a pic of the patch......

we treated the tank last week with malifix because one of the other corys had part of his tail nipped
or possibly fin rot but i realy dont think it was fin rot more like it had been nipped....

my water stats are very good and have been the same for weeks now
ph 7.6
ammonia 0
nitrate 5
nitrite 0
using api test kit

What colour are the patches.
How big is the spot on the gill. Is it bigger than a grain of salt.
Any redness to the spot.
Any strands coming out of the spot.
Any signs of flicking and rubbing.
Darting.
Excess mucas.
Laboured breathing.

Can you enlarge the pic as can't make much out.

the patches are greyish white
spot looks bigger then a grain of salt
no redness
nothing coming out of it
no flicking or rubbing as yet
dartness well corys do dart at times but id say he sits at bottom more then the others
no mucas and breathing as normal

as for enlaging pics i tried too but it wouldnt upload....

will try again

no redness the pic if you click on link shows the patch on 1 side of his body
the spot is on the other side and is like a white spot that comes out his gill
not like cotton just a blob if you get me.... will have to try get a pic of it but
everytime i go near tank he moves so cant catch it...

Ah ok looks like a big discoloured patch, like its bleached out?

can i just suggest that you change your substrate to sand too, as its bad for corydoras barbels ;)

Looks like columnaris to me.

is the blob filled with fluid.

UK - Myxazin by waterlife and pimafix.
US - Maracyn 1 & 2.

Can you isolate the fish for treatment?
