I went to the British Livebearers Association auction yesterday, having never really been into livebearers before and of course, I came back with some fish! I couldn't resist these fantastic Red Lace Snakeskin Guppies. There were several pairs for auction, and I managed to win 2 pairs. I also spotted a group of 4 Leopard Endlers and they just looked fantastic. Here are some pics of the new homes I've setup for them. The Endlers are in the tiny tank, and I will move them on to a larger tank soon, but they are so small at the moment, its a good size. I also have it way over filtered with an Azoo mignon 250! (reduced flow). Anyway, to the pics!
Here are the 2 tanks:
Guppy tank before planting (nice bit of sumatra wood from Maidenhead):
Here it is almost finished. The plants in the foreground aren't planted yet (except the need leaf java fern), and will be planted better soon. They're in there to stay alive and provide cover:
Here are 3 of the Snakeskins:
This one is my favourite male, nicknamed "Spot" for obvious reasons:
Here are all 4 on parade. They like to hang out near the surface generally:
Low and behold, I already have babies! I found 4 swimmnig about quite happily when I got home from work
Onto the Endler mini tank. It measures just 8"x6"x6":
Here is an endler male, and a female hiding in the background. They seem quite shy still. Hopefully they will settle in soon
