Brita Filter ?

Distilling water is really only successful in an industrial setting and most aquarists would find it exceptionally difficult to make themselves.

Yeah pots and pans in the basement with a bunson burner and a bunch of silicon tubing didn't work too great  btw I should also add that if buying distilled, you should be on the watch for stuff labeled "distilled" that has fluoride and other stuff i nit...I started seeing it on shelves this summer in the stores; no clue what people would use that stuff for. It says in small letters at the bottom of the label that is has those addatives put back into it.

Oh - that sounds good , Distilled water it is . * Stops holding lighter under the tap to create some after reading replies :p , j/k* . Thanks for all the advice guys.

The grocery stores around me all carry bottles of distilled. I have checked the TDS's on them (total dissolved solids) and all have been zero. There really shouldn't be a problem with good commercially produced distilled water. SH

Why not just get your RO & Salted RO from your LFS - they should only charge a couple of quid per 5g :good:

There are no "proper" marine retailers in Dublin , and those that are there are supplied by fishantics.com , so I'll save myself some money and buy from them . :good:
