I have a large male bristlenose that has claimed his cave, nad tonight i noticed that when a female approaches, he flairs is side bristles out (the ones near side of mouth)

The he chases her off..

Is this a breeding behavior or he is just been terotorial?

Thanks

sounds more normal to me, i see my BN do it all the time, they are so unsociable, UNLESS there is a courgette, then they all share it lol

but usually at feeding time (non courgette) they all get well stroppy with each other

definitly normal 5teady

EDIT: normal at non feeding and feeding i mean, i've never had them breed so cant comment on that
