I think I answered my own question. I went smithrcs site and my plecs are almost identical to his plecs in the 190L tank.

Then again...man, I am so confused. I'm gonna try to get a pic.

umm the pics in the 190 gallery are of our 'common' and our goldie.

I'm guessing you mean the brown one rather than the orange spotty one

The one I was saw definatley was not 18". Could you do us a favor and post a good shot of the bristlenose by itself.

I have some pics of mine but I don't have the option to post them. Am I doing something wrong?

Your not doing anything wrong... I host the pics on my webspace and link to them in the post.

here is Mr Bristle senior and one of his more recent fry (6weeks) as of yesturday when i cleaned the tank.

he was a bit miffed about being 'outed' hence the colouration.
