Bristlenose

i have four loca fish shops in london so not for me, they are quite commonly sold and dont cost much different to normal bns

When I got my first BN plec about.. 1.5 years ago, i didnt even know you have to give them alge tablets or veggies, i just thought it ate the alge on the tank and what everfood floated to the bottom..

It was only a few months ago when I joinmed here that i realised what they really needed.

He was fine living on 'normal' fish food, but i did notice a growth spurt once i was feeding him 'real pleco' food

My pleco is still alive to this day, and thou he doesnt get veggies very often as i always forget to take them out of the tank before they start falling apart, they get Alge tablets once a week, maybe twice.

thats my experince, just thought you'd like to know.

I feed my pleco algae wafers every night. although I have a 9 inch rhino pleco and he is greedy eats everything in his sight.

Do you give a full algae wafer?

I give mine half. He gets high protein catfish pellets twice a week.

The other 5 days he gets algae wafer. I give him a slice of cougette 3 times a week and i leave them in for 48 hours.

By then it's eaten to it's skin.

yes i give a full algy wafer but half as often lol i see you went for the albinos bns cool how are they

It's active and it comes out more than the other one i bought which just hides.

I only have two caves, neeed to put a couple more in.

The Bns i had before scares the new ones away if it gets near his cave.

You know when you feed your Bns do you just drop the food in?

I stick my hand in and drop the food in his cave.

they can be territorial at fisrt but they will stop after a while lol glass i break up a tabletusualy i will press an algy wafer against the glass, the little ones nibble but the big ones wait for the veg lol but if they aint on the glass i just break it up and dropp it about the location of the little ones lol but the gouramis are a hell of a greedy sort they do steal it so i do somtimes put it in cave the gouramis cant fit in but niether can the adult bristles

hmmmmm i added 4 caves onto about 3 now thiers seven but they just seem to group up in one lol very docile fish
maybe there are solvents in the water and they are a bit high

I think my BN is lazy at feeding times.

He knows when it is because normally he does suck on the glass.

When feeding time comes he goes in the cave and waits for me to drop it into his cave.

lol i just found out i bought a hybrid check him out
synodontis 'fruadulent' multipunctus
as for your plec
its cool he knows when its about to get food my ones dont they literaly have to be hand fed somtimes lol

lol mine dosn't like coming out when it's feeding time.

That hybrid looks well nice. Which two fish bred to make him and what shop did you get him from?

it was probs a synodontis multipunctus with another syno but im not sure because of the method they use to breed is quite unique... i got him from maidenhead aquatics in st albans but every time i go back there they dont have any more... anoying if i can i will breed my pair to make more because they are more active and tolerant to parameters
