My pair of bristlenose have laid eggs, i was wondering if their parents eat their fry later?

Also, will other BN eat them?

* Are bristlenose better being bred in a tank on their own? since my bristlenoses have a tank with fish in there.

Thanks.

Also am i able to move the babies to a raising tank now? theyre 1cm.

Bristlenoses are great parents and other BN's will leave the fry alone but other types of fish may see them as a snack (depending on what you have in there). I have always breed my BN's in their own tank and yes the fry should be fine to move so long as you use some of the water from the tank they are in to the new tank.

I was thinking of setting up a 2ft tank for my breeding pair of BN's. Also i want to put their babies in their with them. Is that fine?

Will they breed alot more frequently if they are alone without any fish?

A 2ft tank is what I keep all my pairs in and mine breed every 4 weeks although I do like to enforce a break now and again as the male kicks out the eggs when he is tired. You can keep the fry in the same tank but this will soon get very crowded when they have several batches each of which can be up to 100 fry. I have 4 pairs of breeding BN's and 5x4ft tanks for the fry so be warned it can get big.
