Bristlenose Pleco (5" Ish) - Free To Good Home

the fact they feel like crispy meat? lol i know what you mean

Ok, he's gone, rehomed, no longer mine. Cheers Ian, sorry I was so awful at catching him and it's a good job you didn't take me up on my offer to deliver on Saturday. You'd have been waiting all year.

(I spent about half an hour chasing hime round with a net before giving up then Ian caught him in about a minute  ) Hope he's not too stressed after the ordeal!

Got a big job now to get the tank back in order, roll on Saturday.

Hi Jamie,he's fine settled in nicely now thanks. Hope you managed to get your tank back in order. As for catching these with your hand im with Jamie on this one....im not scared of a lot of things but theres something about these fish....i just dont trust em.. :sly:

It was nice meeting you Jamie...and if you ever need a fish netting...just give us a shout..

Thanks again

Ian

Great that you managed to find a home for your gorgeous boy so quickly! I have a breeding trio of bn's plus loads of juveniles and my male spends most of his time in his slate cave so I've never had any problems with him digging. I've got a gravel base.

A little tip, get 2 nets, keep one completely still and use the other to drive him towards it, as it's not moving they just swim into it............takes me 10 seconds to catch my fish that way!

so as maybe it works for normal fish but when these get on the glass etc its a lot harder

Great, glad he's settling in. Pleasure to meet you too and my tank is looking ten times clearer today. I'm dedicating this weekend to making my tank look like Amano Takashi popped round

Nice. They have a lot of character and I'll definately keep them again the future. As I'm in a flat with limited space my main tank HAS to look neat and tidy. Not possible with him unfortunately but it might have been a different story with gravel.

Sadly I had two nets but I was severley lacking on the hand-eye co-ordination front.

That's very true. In my defence the tank was murky as hell, I've got a black background and we had to move the lighting panel away to get proper access. He was impossible to see most of the time.

Glad it's all sorted now.
