I've decided it's time to re-home my bristlenose pleco. He keeps mixing the sand up so much so that I can barely ever see into the tank anymore. I'm going to get a big group of cories instead. He's a beautiful specimen with amazing whiskers and I'll be sorry to see him go. The sand storms he makes are unbelievable so please bear this in mind if you have sand. He will make a ditch under your wood right to the bottom of the tank.

Free to good home but I would like him gone by Saturday. Collection can be any night this week or Saturday. At a push - Sunday but if no interest he will be going to the LFS on Saturday. I'm planning a 'big clean' and re-arrange on Saturday so want him out of the way for this.

Cheers. I'd love to see him re-homed to someone off the forum. As I said I'll be sorry to see him go but the cloudy tank is getting me down and it can't be doing my filter much good either.

Hi where abouts in Manchester are you? im in Stockport. I might be interested in taking him.

Thanks
Ian

Hi mate, yeah i will take him if thats ok. Not sure on what night i can get up there though..whats it like for parking round there...lol

I have a 3" male causing me grief with the sand substrate...looks like a common problem....I hope it becomes half as nice as yours and half as sand disturbing :)

Lovely bristles on him, he's a corker! I hope you find a good home for him

edit: congrats :)

I've tried making caves for him but he prefers to make his own.

You should see the state of the tank at the moment. The sand has been pushed in to three big piles, rocks buried, plants uprooted. It's a right mess and the water is cloudy beyond belief.

Better not say much more or fats may change his mind

lol mine was like that with the sand he still uproots my plants in gravel :( it is a pain in the backside but Jeff is worth it lol

Did you move from sand to gravel because of him?

I am just wondering what I've let myself in for

Hi,your not in sales and advertising are you...coz if you are your rubbish at it..

I already have a breeding trio in one tank which is heavily planted with sand and i have no problem at all. But yours might be a different story.

Hes going to be going in my Angelfish fry tank for now which has no substrate in as a cleaner,he will have to work for his keep for the time being,no free ride here  If he digs in there then hes got issues..

I will pm you to arrange a time to come and relieve you from your trauma. Hopefully this evening

Thanks
Ian

Ok, he's gone, rehomed, no longer mine. Cheers Ian, sorry I was so awful at catching him and it's a good job you didn't take me up on my offer to deliver on Saturday. You'd have been waiting all year.

(I spent about half an hour chasing hime round with a net before giving up then Ian caught him in about a minute  ) Hope he's not too stressed after the ordeal!

Got a big job now to get the tank back in order, roll on Saturday.

jame a tip (if you get another plec later on and want to catch him) use your hands its a million times easier
