Anyone got some top tips on what to feed their bristlenoses?

I've got some algae wafers but they get stolen by all of the other fish.....anything that only bristlenoses love?? like lettuce or something? BTW do I have to boil lettuce before putting it in the tank? Any particular type of lettuce?

Thanks

Lettuce would be good, if fishes like it :) Mine don't like it at all.

Frozen peas, put them to micro for 10-20 sec that they melt. Take the outer, tough peel away and break peas alitle.

Cucumber, carrots.. You can boil them couple minutes that they go down better, or put spoon through them, after vegetables have been eaten, take the spoon out of your tank.

Pumpkin (which look like cucumber, not the big orange pumpkin :)) is good food too.

Mine love sliced raw cucumber, just make sure its either weighed down or attached to the side of the tank.

I give mine the wafers. You have to put them in when the lights go out. Bristlenose can find the food with the lights out and are more active at night when the other fish are resting. I wouldn't boil any food, it can really mess up your tank. I also feed my raw cucumber once in a while. The other fish will pick at it but they really don't put a dent in it. Same rule applies for the cucumber it's best put in late in the day. Also make sure to remove whatever is left in the morning or it wall decay.

And if some one was thinking about what the h*ll I was writing, I ment Cucurbita pepo . Don't know what it is in english, sorry..
