I bought a bristlenose a few weeks ago but never see it during the day. It's done a very good job at cleaning up the bogwood in my tank though

I've been putting in catfish and algae pellets after lights out, but I'm not sure if they survive long enough for the bristlenose to find them!

I've been putting in a slice of blanched courgette once a week for a while now for my other fish, but I don't think the bristlenose touches it - it takes a good 3 days for it all to go.

What other natural foods have other bristlenose owners found to be successful? (particulalry ones that will last longer than a few minutes!).

Blanched zuchinni, cucumber, shelled peas - most green vegetables realy.

Tomato? That's a new one on me.

Unfortunately my bristlenose doesn't seem to like corgette, maybe I'll try peas and/or lettuce

Don't know about BN's but my corys like broccoli, spinach and chard as well as peas. I just put a bit to one side when I'm dishing up our own supper.

Chard? I think I'm too much of a carnivore to know what that is! :D
