Will Bristlenose catfish eat hair algae?

My ottos and SAEs are't touching it and although Rowaphos is doing wonders to the PO4 levels in my tank, the hair algea is persisting... :(

I don't want anything that gets bigger than 4-5".

We have a total of eight bristlenoses of four different species in one of our tanks, but we still have to resort to chemicals to get rid of the hair algae. *shrugs*

Does that answer your question?

I think it does - they don't touch it.

Does anyone else have any contradictory evidence?

Nope bristles wont touch the stuff. SAE sure will, so I wonder if the poster above has true SAEs?

Well I bought them from a shop that had flying foxes and other derivatives in seperate tanks and I've compared them to online photos of SAEs so I think they are.

They're just greedy, much quicker than my other fish and prefer Tetraprima!
