I've uploaded a short video clip of some bristle worms shortly after feeding time. At one point I spotted 5 at the same time... I hate to think how many actually live in there.

There is the YouTube version

Or you can download a slightly higher quality version here but it's around 16mb

You'll see my attention seeking Pink Scooter Blenny as well!

They are fairly big bristle worms! have they ever caused you a problem with corals etc?
I have loads in mine but they maybe only 2" maximum length which don't seem to cause any problems. The only time i can spot them though is with a red light in the middle of the night - yours must be fairly freindly ones :hyper:

What is that green coral in the clip? looks similar to a frogspawn coral.

Yes they seem to be growing, I'm gonna have to keep an eye on them!

The green coral is Green Star Polyps. The original colony was about 1/2 that size. I then broke that into two and put one half in another tank. It has grown prolifically since and has started to grow on the back wall!

I know they benefit the tank when not too big but boy they are gross - luckily I don't see mine too often

ps enjoyed the video, thanks Cage

i havent seen many either i have seen one since i have had my tank and he is a little guy i kinda find him cute and interesting

Great vid cage, perfect song aswell :good:

If the worms are living and burrowing in the rock are they going to ruin your LR eventually?

Cheers VM.

I guess that feasibly it's possible but highly unlikely. I guess the critters would favour existing holes and crevices in preference to digging their own ones. I do sometimes see piles of rock coloured dust gathered on the coral sand by the rock so it obviously does happen!
