Tetra's breeding conditions need to "fine tuned". Their water needs to be mature, aged at least 6 months. As it is difficult to tell the sexes apart you need to condition the fish by feeding them on high quality food. Then as the female is ready to spawn you will notice a rounded belly. You need plenty of java moss in a seperate tank, because the fish will consume their own eggs shortly after spawning.
Move the females to the breeding tank, first. Remember the fish need to be mature adults then later when you expect the fish to spawn you can add the males. Remember to remove the adult fish immediatly after the parents have, "done their thing". Fry can then be fed on infusoria.
