Breeding Sparkling Gouramis?.

I go to check on my pair they are in a 5 gal tank with no other fish. I could not find the female and the male was hiding out. I look closely and find the male is guarding a bubble nest. The female is hiding behind the filter the male is chasing her if she comes out.

I don't know if they spawned all I know is the male is being a jerk and the female will not come out.

I thought both parents cared for the nest. Should I move mom out? How do I know if they spawned? I am new to gourami love. I know my sa cichlids well. But this bubble nest stuff is new to me. Any pointers?

No one? Well I think I am going to move mom out let dad stay and see if the eggs hatch if not I will move dad with mom in my tiny 20gal community. I think i will look for another female too. Then breed shrimp in the 5 gal.

I don't want to have to mess with fry too much work.

Well today the male is not being mean he is courting the female. She is not always hiding any more.
