Hello- I've been looking for a breeding pair of gold severums for a couple of weeks, and a pair has come up. The seller says that he bought them as a pair, but he has had no eggs off them. He tells me that they stick together all the the time and are male and female. He claims that there not laying eggs because hes keeping them with flowerhorns and they seem to be bullying them. I was wondering before i bought them if someone could tell me if this would effect the severums from laying eggs? Thanks.

Seeing as flowerhorns are one of the most aggressive cichlids there is then I would say this is probably the reason why. If they feel any amount of stress or feel intimidated by them (which I'm sure they will) then they won't spawn.

I say rescue them and reap the rewards yourself!

Thanks alot for your reply, and that i will do. :good:
