anyone know what they do when they're mating?
i have 2 and sometimes their anal fins, i think thats what you call them, seem like they're attached to each other (so the fish are joined together) and they seem to wiggle abit in the water with their head pointing upwards. they do this for about 4 or 5 seconds, seperate, swim round the tank and do it again. this usually lasts for about 10 minutes.
is this breeding behaviour or something else?

im sure its normal behavior my 2 albinos did that 4 about a month and then next thing you no theres babies so u may wana move them 2 a breeding tank so the babies wont get eaten by other fish

Their egg scatters and breeding is very rare, females are generaly plumper then the slimmer males.

TFH published an article on breeding them from 1985 where they was injected with hormales to induce breeding but this is the only photographic proof I've ever seen in the aquaria.

It's unheard of in aquariums as far as reliable documentation is concerned. They are bred in large ponds or sectioned off "fish farms" in their native area but I've never seen anyone with proof they bred them in an aquarium.
