Had a spawn of about 30 eggs in my community tank Thursday night and Friday morning. I moved them to my quarentine tank Friday morning. A few have gone fungussy but most are ok. I can see small black fry shapes in most but I'm on day 4/5 of gestation and none have hatched. Water chemistry is 0.0.0 ph 7.5 and 22c.
How long do I wait before I give up ?

Give them another day or so and they should start hatching, temperature plays a part in the hatching.

good luck. :good: Eggs can vary between 3-6 days to hatch :)

As long as they're fertilised and haven't gotten fungus, then they will hatch- i had some cory eggs once which took ages to hatch. I'd actually given up hope on them but hadn't gotten around to removing them but then one day i saw a couple of baby corys and they had hatched! Was a very long time ago so i don't remember exactly on how long it took for them to hatch but it was a very long time (longer than what is usual). Just keep an eye on them as when they do hatch the cory fry are tiny and very easy to miss  .

I cant really get a good picture, but i think i counted about 140 eggs in there, there are some suspended in the xmas moss too

Got the odd white one so far but the rest are darkening off, no idea how many will hatch. The baby Kribs i have are very curious below the net and keep nosing them :>

How the hell did you get 140 eggs lol.

My female is HUGH ! about 2inch long and she only dropped 30.

Maybe she ate the rest ?

Gonna move the fry to my fry tank and start the breeding again :)

well i got about 25 corys in the tank, i think its been the bronze and peppered who are at it like mad so it wasnt just one pair. :)

I've 2 albino females, one lays around 20-30 eggs, the other one easy lays 150-200 eggs each time,so i know which female it is normally when i found masses

Hows the fry doing?

All good. Found 7 so far. Just done my daily 50% water change an added liquifry.
Getting tank 6 tonight for breeding more then move new eggs to fry tank.

Avoid liquifry if you can, it polutes the water something crazy. Try for the hakari/hikari first bites, its a powered food and you can suck it up with a eye dropper do da thingy. I got some massive ones off eBay which have been really useful :)
