Hi all,Im realy interested in breeding these wonderful fish.I ave read the topic on them at the top of the page.My questions are:

what are the easiest to breed?
when the fry hatch do they act like cories and swim around the bottom?
is microworms a good starter meal for the fry?
What should i put in the spawning tank.A few plants? a few tubes for hiding?
How big of a bgroup will i need for spawning?

thanks,Ben.

can;t anyone help me

Hi Ben,

Have you done any searching to see what information is about on Cory breeding. in fact there is a mountain of stuff out there.

There are quite a few that are considered easy spawners, but what's easy for one may not be easy for another. I would say that the two easiest species to breed would be C. pygmaeus and C. habrosus, both are regarded as dwarf species and do not need a lot of room.

Worcestershire? so am I, what part.

Ian

Personally the easiest for me has been the good old C. Aeneus. My Bronze Cory's spawn after almost every water change. After getting them to spawn, actually raising the fry to maturity, or at least where you can sell them on is the hardest part. Out of a batch of 50, i only managed to save half a dozen.
