I'm attempting to get my Peacock Gobies to breed, and since they wouldn't take to my rock cave I decided to a PVC pipe cave covered in sand and gravel to blend in. This is my journal and how to sort of thing. So here we go!

Day 1, went to home depot, got a 45 degree angled elbow pipe with a 1 1/2 inch opening.

Day 3, got some aquarium silicone to glue it together

Began to mix and match the pices onto the part

Day 5, let it dry for a day

Day 6, let it soak in water for a day

Day 7 (today) put it in the tank!

Will be posting in the next few days, gotta see if my gobies will take to it. The male was already very interested in it the second I put it in the tank. :good:

Looks great! I hope they like it :) I like how it kind of blends in with the substrate, very nice :D

Hahah thanks!

Sad part it, gobies haven't cared much for it. Instead, someone else has taken up residence!

Dang loaches!

Still looks nice though :good:

Maybe your goby's wont house up in one of your caves because the loaches keep disturbing them?
if I were a loach i'd probably creep in any cave i could find :D

Try a 3"-4" length of 1/2" or 3/4" pvc pipe with a cap on one end. Put several of them in to give them options. Also your loaches will like them.
