Breeding Albino BristlenosePlecos

We have a pair of albino bristle noses, which show no interest in each other. We were advised to get another male to start up a bit of rivalry, which we did, although not an albino. It hasn't made any difference. Does anyone have any advice on how to get them interested in each other for breeding purposes?

Are you sure that they're adults? How old are they?

Breeding in Bristlenoses can be triggered by shortening the light period and a major (75%) water change.

In the wild breeding spawning occurs during the rainy season when a influx of fresh water fills the habitat.

If you have two males, beware, they may fight to the death.

What temp is your tank?
Mine breed constantly at about 25-26 degrees C, but anything above that seems to put them off.

Also, do you have somewhere they can nest? The male usually makes the nest under a piece of bogwood, or in some sort of cave. A small plantpot on it's side is often good, or a piece of plastic pipe.

Yes, they lay their eggs on the roof of caves, so they must have something, like a pipe or bogwood cave that they can both get into upside down & side by side.

Please post some pictures of these plecos I have never seen a albino pleco b4 I bet they are pretty.
