Livebearers are a varied category. Some of them are very rare. Some are difficult to breed. Some (I believe) have never been bred in captivity.

The livebearers the op had in mind are not rare or difficult to breed. These are the fish being commented on.
I don't think tackling a livebearer that hasn't been bred in captivity before is a great starting point for someone new to it all, really.
