How would I go about cleaning it? Right now I'm using a syringe to suck up the poop from the bottom (and top).. I'm wondering if there's a better way. Not sure I want to move all the fry to clean it though.

And also how often should I clean it? I know the fry need clean water to be healthy and grow :good:
Thanks!

The breeder nets I have I only clean when the net is not in use, other wise my corys, Borneo Suckers, bristle noses, snails and shrimp do a pretty good job of cleaning the net.

In the eyes of my various fish and shrimp the breeder nets hold a smorgasboard of delicious treats and tidbits, and they are always checking out the sides of the net for any potential food.

I have 3 nerite snails, do you think I should put one inside the breeder net? :) Thanks!

A nerite snail should be fine inside the net.

My shrimp like the breeder net so much the silly critters climb into it  .

 My fry are so shy, they keep hiding between the plastic frame and the net :/

Do you have any weed in the breeder net? I usually put in some java moss or a bit of elodea depending on what plants I have that need a trim or I have heaps of. I find the weed tends to collect mirco foods that the fry will feed off as well as providing the fry with some shelter/ shade. Fry know that they are easy pickings as food for other fish so they naturally want to hide, but I find some weed gives them conifdence.

Yeah, I have some floating anacharis on top of the breeder net. It came with some plastic plants for the bottom of the net, should I put those on? (it makes them impossible to see though)

They seem scared of the light, always hiding in the shade... do they naturally not like light either? thanks :)

Its not so much that they are scared of the light its more a case of them instinctively realising that out in bright light they are an easy target/ meal for bigger mouths, they dont know that in the net they are safe from being predated on by other fish.

Yep some anacharis would be fine to add to the net.:good:
