Brackish Fish

Thanks........I will let my friend know she is getting some new fish!! :D :D :D

Now I just need to figure out what to do with that CAE....he is mean!!

Thanks Pufferpack, a good link but its only made me more confused as to what is best for them.
There is much discussion amongst keepers of puffers as to what conditions Figure Eight's come from. The general consensus is that they can survive in freshwater, brackish and marine if correctly conditioned although they tend to do slightly better in brackish conditions. Naturally they are supposed to be a freshwater fish.

So is it frsh water or Salt water? :/

Im going away for a week now so I won't see a reply for while but it gives some time to think about it!

My apologies Dave, I totally missed that part :*) ...Most if not all of the experienced puffer keepers I have spoken to (including some with up to 40 years of experience) agree that Figure 8's do best in BW  I have seen much discussion about them being found in FW in nature, but like the Green Spotted Puffers, they may begin their life in FW but quickly move into BW as they mature. I have seen accounts of Figure 8's living in BW for 15 years or more, but have yet to hear of that length of life span when they are kept in FW.

Sorry for the confusion, IMO go with the BW.
