As I have been studying up on cories I also have run across the Brochis Splendens or Emerald catfish. It sure looks like a cory and acts like a cory. Is it a good fish? It seems to be almost like an Aeneus.

It's like a cory, except it get's a bit bigger and has a longer dorsal fin running down it's back :)

4 inches ***starts calculating various stocking rates....scratches head....makes decision***

I think that although the Emeralds are cute in their almost a cory sort of way, that I better stick with a true cory species that will stay in the 3 inch range so that there can be enough of them to be happy. I would only be able to get 3 maybe four at the most "Splendens" if they get to be four inches long and that won't be enough.

Thanks once again.

I think they would be happy in a trio :) Although if you were planning on getting 6 bronze cories or other smaller ones that would make them happy too :)
