Boxfish

Hi again. Has anybody here kept cow/boxfish Ive recently saw one in my lfs and hes fantastic.

All though ive done a bit research and found out they are poisonous. if they get stressed and worse if they die it will poison my tank.

Anybody with anymore info would be great.

I haven't kept em, but I have heard first hand stories of them nuking tanks. You should only keep one if you have the ability to do a complete tank water change very rappidly.

my lFS had those in i dont even keep SW and i thought they were amazing,fish like them(and NEMOS)make me want to go saltwater

If they're anything like my local shops, I bet they had a tiny little boxfish that looked oh-so-cute. Fair warning, they get big, less cute and lose their juvenile colours.

Tiny yellow boxfish grow to be at least 12" long and change to a dull grey, as they get bigger

Ever seen an adult? They're interesting.... but not "beautiful" Everybody else here is right about them becoming very dull looking as they get older.
