I got a killer deal on a 55 gallon, with a emperor 280 filter (I have a marineland c-160 I will run along with it!!, hood, lights, a nice heater and some nice deco, all for $50!!!! I didn't have to drive far either, maybe 40 miles. LOL I did have to squeeze it in the back of my mustang. With the right moves and some thinking, It just fit!! Of course our dog goes every where with us, so he had to sit on John's lap for the ride home (about a hour) It was a funny site to see, Me, John, the dog, and a big aquarium taking up the rest of the car!

But... I do have to re-seal it.... Some edges dont look bad, but I will check them better after its cleaned up! There isn't any cracks or chips. A few scratches but they really dont bother me. I'm happy!! :D I dont think this will be to bad of a job, I just did a bunch of caulking on a trailer, so I have had plenty of practice!! Im going to start working on it today, and hope to have it done and ready in a couple weeks!

So far my total cost will be about $100. I have drift wood from the river, along with some plants from there. The sand will come from the creek where I camp. Its a very nice soil/sand mix. I also have media, from my other tank to start my filter out!! So far not much spent out of pocket!!

Here is some pics!! More later!

This is Les, he's Australian Shepard mix.

You shoudnt have to reseal it. How about testing it for a few weeks before using in anger? Just put it in a shed or garage & fill it up.

Oh ya!! Any tips or tricks on resealing are welcome!!

She said it held water, but the one seal is really thin. I will take some pictures after its clean and See what people think.

Here you go.
