Some of you might have seen my other thread about me buying a new tank. Well, I bought it, but a few issues have arisen because of it that I'd like advice on. It's a Fluval Osaka 155L
Thanks in advance for your help.
- I have a Fluval 205 (rated for up to 200L tanks). However, it comes with a Fluval 305 (rated for up to 300L), though the seller says it leaked when he tipped it so he suspects the sealing ring needs replacing but he's not sure. Anyone know whether it's likely to be the sealing ring and whether it's worth going with the bigger filter or sticking with what I know?
- I have a 150W heater at the moment. I know the general rule is 1W per litre. Is it worth getting a new one? I'd be right on the upper limit of the sensible size for that heater.
- The original lighting unit has gone and there is an Arcadia unit. The original light was designed to hang from the top piece - is there any way I could get the new Arcadia light to do this? I'm not completely comfortable with having it sat on top and I'd rather have it hanging than glue it on. - He mentions it needs a bit of a clean. I'm assuming algae. What are the best methods of cleaning a dry tank while avoiding making scratches?
Thanks in advance for your help.
