I only have one and it's like 15''. It's a tiny light
 
I only use the bulbs I can get my hands on.

Me too. Mine are the basic hardware store bulbs too. The zoo med bulbs and such are so pricey. Id rather spend a bit more and try to rig up a new fixture with T5's or something. I only have 64 watts right now. I'd like to get around 100

Well mine is 14 watts. But it will do to grow easy low end plants. But I'll be making up something custom soon myself.
