Ok, I know distilled water is not to be used in your aqarium. What about "spring water?"
I just found out that our tap water here is really got some bad things in it, and I want to use a water softener. What will that do to the fish? Can I use it at all? Do I have to add something to softened water to make it safe for the fish, cuz I know it adds salt to the water doesn't it?

Thats good to hear, as i just mentioned in a different thread i too am having problems with my local water and am going to try bottled water.
