:bottled Water Idea: A Genius Thought:

i think you are getting to paranoid about water parametres lol.

taking transport out of the way, 1$ a gallonm doesnt sound that bad, maybe a good idea if you have a nano tank which is harder to keep water stable. If you take your tanks (45gallons in total) and you are planning on another 47gallon! thats a lot of water and money! How often do you do a water change and what size?

I do 50% on a total of 55g weekly, thats 28g a week = 28$/ £15 - i cant afford that especially as i am a student!

lmao i love how when some one points out all the flaws (without even being rude!!) she goes off on one, i forgot who she was for a bit but now i remember she's the spoilt brat who was complaining that her mother woldnt buy her what she wanted because money was tight! Seriously if you were my kid (baring in mind im only youngish at 21) i would be ashamed of having such a moany, selfish, arrogant daughter.

Basically the idea wont work because like a couple of people have said the water will change and the containers would cost more than they would be selling. I've seen a couple of other posts and you really go overboard with the water stats for fish like platties.

But dont forget all the fact sheets we see on fish are for WILD fish, platties from your lfs are more than likely born in a tank with very simular water conditions as you have

i recognized the name right away so that's why i pretty much stayed out of it.honestly, axleuk wasn't harsh with her.

So you're not a fan then?

whatever, ya'll have no imagination.. I think it would be a good idea so ya'll can just spoil it with your pro smart person talk. You can't just say "hey good idea' you have to find problems with my idea and get rude just to feel good inside. Its a good idea

Yo Homie, just bin chillin wid ya post and ya idea is aight but da flaws make da idea as useful as a choclate fireguard.

Peace

no need for that IMO..

i think some people are being a bit harsh here.. her idea might not have been the best but theres no need to be rude.. seriously

Most replies have been rather civil. Those that weren't, well the first one was hers.

My response to Mollywhatsherface in the above post was in response to her 'pro smart person talk' remark. I just wanted to be hip and trendy and lower myself to a level she may have found easier to understand. I dont see that as being rude. I think i was being rather helpful.

It doesnt help when it appears the 'Sense of Humour Police' have done their rounds on here.

It's so much easier to just add something to the tank if you want to push the water parameters in a certain direction; Coral sand/gravel or shells for harder water and higher ph, unsoaked bogwood and peat filtration for softer water and lower ph.

Most fish don't even need natural conditions if they're captive bred. They'll be fine as long as you acclimate them properly.
