well one of my flames when mia...so he turned up today with what looks like a head injury...where he got it i dont know...its not Ich...doesnt look like a tumor or anything like that...looks like a skin abrasion.....
None of the other fish show any signs of sickness....just him and his head lasertaion.....
Any ideas on treatment???

Could very well be hole in the head disease, gouramis are prone to it. Most probable causes are an unbalanced diet/vitamin deficiency. Try finding a food with extra vitamin C, preferably frozen. I know that ProBalance foods adds C to their flakes and pellets. I prefer Hikari brand over anything.

Do a couple of extra water changes each week, add a bit of salt (appropriate to your tank size) remove your carbon (if applicable) and raise temp to around 82, if you want to medicate you can purchase a medicated flake or buy a med that treats hexamita. Follow the directions closely

Not another Gourami sickness! Seems like they are seriously prone to disease . . .
