I recently stocked my tank with 2 clown loaches, golden wonder killifish and 2 bolivian rams. It is a 29g tank and the parimeters are

Temperature - 78F
Nitrate - 0 to 5ppm
Nitrite - 0
Total hardness - 55
Alkalinity - 40
PH - 6.8

My concern is that the 2 rams have been on the bottom since I bought them, and are breathing quite heavy. The loaches are fine, as is the killifish. However, both my rams are doing horribly. The male is worse, he is hiding behind one of my plants, gasping and kinda laying on his side. I am concerned...and stumped. As far as I know, everything in the tank is within a good range. I need help...I dont want to loose my purty rams.

P.S I got them on Wednesday

Does the gill area look red and inflamed, have they been flicking and rubbing on objects, also you do no the tank isn't big enough for clown loaches.
