I picked up some bogwood at my LFS, 2 nice pieces which will add to the look of my tank. I already have 5 bits of mopani wood in my tank, what i want to know is, when can i add it to my tank. i have scrubbed them to get all the loose bits of dirt etc off, and i have boiled them to help remove the tannins (i know some people say you dont need to boil them) so when can i add them. there isnt much tannin coming out of them any more

Add them whenever you like. As long as they've been cleaned off, they are safe to add.

Boiling wood can damage it and make it disintegrate so it's not recommended. Pouring boiling water over it is best and is enough, especially if you bought them from the fish shop. You can drop them in now. Tannins is very good fish and they love it but if you don't like the yellow tinted water, you can soak it for a few days or couple of weeks, changing the water regularly.
