Hi,
where can i get a little bit of bog wood?
I want a bit about 2 or 3 inch for my snails to lay on,
but cant find a bit small enough :(
im hoping to find a bit for 2 or 3 pound.
 
u will be lucky to find a piece that small,best to buy a piece and try and break it up.

I actually cut some of my bogwood a while back, only a tiny piece probably around 2 inches, can post it to you if I can find it, ill have a look later... are you in the UK

It wasn't recently, it was a few months ago. I just searched for bogwood on eBay! People sell all sorts of sizes in there. It hadn't been in tank. I'd show you a photo but it's invisible under java moss now.
 
Dip a small piece of wood into your bog aka toilet and you've got yourself some bogwood? :p

Can I ask why? You never know what might be hitchhiking on it.
I hate the tannis.after 1 day of boiling i put it in my tank. water went brown both angel fish died. And i spent over a week boiling my last piece and kept getting tannis out. so give up.

Tannins shouldn't harm your fish. In any case, one day of boiling wouldn't remove it all. I soaked mine in a bucket for over a week, changing the water every day.

I'd be more concerned about getting a used bit than soaking it myself, personally.
