Bn's :) My First Spawn

Chuffed to bits my breeding bn's have a spawn being guarded in the males cave.the next problem is im away offshore on thursday for two weeks and my neighbour(also a fishkeeper)comes in to feed them every couple of days.im asuming that they prob wont have hatched by the time i leave...prob 4-5 days from spawn.i know the male will keep them in the cave for around the first 7 days so will they need any special foods etc when they emerge as its likely to be half way through my time away thanx Neil

You could slice up some cougrette (store in freezer) and ask the neighbor to drop some in if necessary when feeding the rest. Ask the neighbor to keep an eye on the brooding male. If he's out of the cave the fry will be ready to eat some veggies. Just use a fork or something similar to weigh the pieces down, they won't get them if they're floating.
