£10 for lonfins is actually a really good price for 3 inch, 3 inch is considered already breedable, you could get a albino longfin female and a common normal fin male and you will probably have a mix of longfin and normal fin as well as brown and albino so you get the best of both worlds and cater for the broad range of BN keepers/prospective buyers.

I dont think it matters tbh, genetics isnt really my thing but i would rather have the female longfin if i was intending to get longfin fry, size doesnt matter they will be fine toget5her either way... one may just need to mature that little bit more to be able to breed

Yep always a possibilty, you may get more of 1 kind but i think you should have a mixed lot.

do you think 2 4inch females brown shortfin would be ok in my tank and then i will get a small male longfin albino and wait for it to pic a female and then get red of the other female
because someone on hear is selling me 2 females
