hi all

if i was to sython through the gravel and clean the filter and do a big water change do you think that it might trigger my BNs to breed??

thanx

The only answer I can gice you is yes if they feel like it. I tryed every trick in the book when I first started keeping them but nothing :( ..Then moved then to a smaller tank on their own while doing some re-arrangments and one week later..babies!..Once they start you need never worry about triggers again as they just dont stop :D

This is a great article on breeding bristlenoses that I would recommend

do u think it would work if i was to move them into a different tank then move them back to there big tank??

thanx again

It worked for me but could have been just one of those things. The best tip I can give you is make sure the male has a cave of some sort. Mine use a cichlid spawing cave the same as the one in this link

All my Albino groups use this but the brown females get a little too bit and get stuck in the hole

When he finds a cave he likes and he starts chasing the girls around he is ready.
