I recently acquired a BN Pleco last Monday which is 6 days ago. He hasn't eatten a lot. Only reason I know he has eatten is because all the algae in the tank is gone. I try to feed him algae wafers. I have Wardley ones and Hikari ones. He hasn't touch them. I'm worried because his belly is caving in. :( Any ideas?

Definitely feed during the night until he's adjusted. Also try cucumber. I have yet to meet a plec that won't eat it.

Other things to try are zucchini, peas, sweet potato (cooked a little). I have heard that rubbing a bit of garlic on the vegetables can also help get them eating. You can even throw in a piece of garlic and he might have a nibble, if he does it is great for the immune system apparently. Just a thought but if he is eating a lot of algae maybe he is just not hungry for anything else right now. Are you sure he is getting thinner 6 days doesn't seem to be long to tell that.

Good luck I hope he eats soon.
