Bn Plec

How old will a male bn need to be before he would start to show signs of growing his bristles?
I have had mine for around a month now and its about 1-1/4 inchs long, i am not sure if i have a male or female.
Please help identify whcih sex it is.

mine started to get bristles at 4 months, females get bristles, but they are shorter
