Well, my pair of BNs laid eggs which I only found when I caught the adults to give to nelly (another forums user). Anyhow all (approx) 125 eggs seem to have hatched and I have only had one death (unknown cause). So now I am overrun with BN fry, although they are very cute. They are about 3 weeks old now (2 weeks old in the pic), so I will have to find homes for all 125 soon and I cannot believe how much courgette they get through! Anyone want some BNs?!

They are absolutely beautiful!

I had no idea that you guys might want some! I'll look into posting - I'll have to buy some polyboxes and heatpacks though, anyone know a supplier?
I'll also check how much it will cost. I was actually going to ask local shops if they will buy them off me as it will be much easier than running to and from the post office and worrying about them arriving safe, but on the other hand at least if they go to forum members they are likely to be well looked after :good:
I'll check it out...

oh an another thing, looking at other posts, I have 125 babies from 1 pair and it was their 1st try, this seems a lot compared to others, whats the average no of babies from a single lay?

Hi i would be interested in 1 or 2 for a new tank i am setting up.

Let me know if you can post

thanks

Sorry all those that wanted some, it looks like they'll be going to a local LFS (but not for a month or so), it's expensive to get all the equipment to post them out and then the time to take to the post office, work is too busy!

If anyone wants to come and collect some within the next month, (for a small price £1.50 each) you are welcome, I live near Fordingbridge (Between Salisbury and Bournemouth). They are now bigger than the pic and are growing all the time :D
