I;m collecting a viv to set up for one ofthese guys tonight

was just wondering if anyone on here has ever kept one?

and if so could you share your experiences with them with me

thanks Simon

Hi, I've never had one myself, but my brother does (I have terrapins and asian water dragons), so weather I qualify to answer this I don't know? but here you go.
My brothers Blue Tongue is very lazy, likes to bury himself under his substrate (Coco Husk, or wood chips are ideal). Having said that though, he did escape from his viv once and my brother found him in his bedroom curled up amongst some cloths?! so they do get around a bit! Easy to handle, but do have sharp claws and they will try to get in your cloths to keep warm, etc..
They are great but very sensitive when they shed, so bet not to handle them, they should have a large rock in their enclosure to rub against to help with the shedding, but can also be ideal for basking.

Hope this helps.

it does cheers for that the more I hear about them the better they sound. Can;t wait to get one

What UV and heating does he use in his viv? if you know lol :good:

We at college have this piece of cork wood that is in the shape of a tunnel and just long enough for one of the two we have to pretty much live in there fully. BT Skinks look like they are made from plastic. its quite funny

I believe he uses UVB 8 fluorescent tubes(Exo Terra) (but don't quite me) and he uses 100 Watt Infrared for Basking and a Moonlight to warm the tank at night, this also helps with keeping his tank temps different at either end. He does have a log tunnel that Lynyrd can hide/sleep in when he's not buried under substrate.
